Carbon Fiber Arthritic Shoe Insert - 24.5cm (Men's 8/Women's 9)
The treatment for mid-foot arthritis, advanced hallux rigidus, post-operative care of foot and toe surgeries, or other conditions requiring minimal movement of the foot includes the use of a carbon fiber insert. This insert is designed with maximum stiffening and minimal flexibility, measuring a thickness of 1.6mm. It is light and thin, suitable for wear on either the right or left foot. The insert must be placed directly under the removable shoe insole or under an orthotic.
To ensure a proper fit, the carbon fiber insert should be ¼ - ½ inch (approximately 1 cm) shorter than the removable insert in the shoe, as it is stiff and designed for minimal movement. In cases where a size falls in between or is a half size, it is recommended to round down to the smaller size. Additionally, it is advised to use this very rigid insole beneath the original removable insole for optimal results.
