Breg PTO AirMesh Patella Stabilizing Knee Brace
The PTO is specifically designed to align the knee for patients with maltracking or patella tracking conditions. It works dynamically as the patient performs normal knee movements such as walking and running. The hinge adjusts the tension generated by the hinge bars to pull the buttress down around the patella, enhancing patella stabilization. This helps to control patellar subluxation by forming a soft tissue wall that controls the amount of compression applied from the lateral pressure plate.
The PTO also applies progressive compression of the lateral soft tissue surrounding the knee cap, with the peak force being reached at full extension. This further enhances the positive effects of the patella buttress. Additionally, the PTO is made with airmesh material for breathability and comfort.
